main idea

Is to show what carnival look like in a coconut shell
The main past of my to show is how a Caribbean celebration of Carnival starting off with a jelly man cutting a coconut with all the coconut water spilling out as it splashes on the floor that's when the music starts.
Using soca music as the basis for my whole piece as music is the biggest part of Carnival and a main driving Force in the Caribbean community.
The video would run with the coconut water racing down the route of Notting Hill Carnival all the way up until the judge line at the end of the carnival.
Than going past key Notting Hill landmarks showing different parts of the carnival such as people dancing, a bottle of rum being poured into a cup, paint being thrown as a representation for J'ouvert.
Then as it was passed a Feather that dropped off a costume then rolling past heavy bass speakers from a Jamaican sound system moving on to Caribbean flags from Trinidad to Jamaica to show all the Caribbean islands and a mix of cultures that contribute to Notting Hill Carnival ending at the judges line with a woman with a United Kingdoms Union Jack wrapped around her back with a coconut in her hand dancing and ask are you ready the jump up.
The reason for having the coconut water as a representation of Good Vibes and clean energy as in some Caribbean cultures it is seen as a natural healing for many illnesses and a spiritual healing as well so using this will be a nod to Caribbean traditions given the respect that due to the Caribbean community that holds one of the biggest events in England.
The slogan for this promotional campaign will be are you ready to jump up as in Trinidad it is a saying that means are you ready to party until you drop is used a lot in soca music to get the crowd hype and ready for a major performance by a big artist or to get a good party vibe going and as my campaign is to promote Notting Hill Carnival the best way to do it is to get people in the party mood and show them that we expect Good Vibes and clean fun.
